The Coach Wristlet
Purse
I am one of those people who would
lose my head if it wasn’t attached. It’s a normal scene for me
to be running around the house, looking for my keys, my
sunglasses or my purse before leaving the house and having to
make at least one last trip inside to retrieve whatever it was
I forgot. Keeping track of these items once I’ve arrived at my
destination is a full time job in itself! Needless to say, the
purse I carry is a messenger bag, large enough to hold half my
household and styled to drape across my body, making it next to
impossible to lose.
I have always envied those women who seem to enter any
establishment or arrive for any occasion with their slim,
little clutch bag in
hand. They seem so put together and confident with only their
essentials tucked away in their tiny little pocketbooks. Out of
curiosity I decided to look into these sleek little handbags,
wanting to join the club of confident women and test drive a
small purse of my own. I thought I’d hit gold when I came
across the worry free wristlet.
Wristlets are a type of clutch bag that has a detachable
strap that wraps around the wrist. This was perfect for someone
like myself who has a habit of laying something down and
forgetting to retrieve it. I set my sights on obtaining one of
these wonderful creations for myself and settled in on my
computer, searching the internet for handbags.
I was amazed at the selection that lay before me and how
easy it was to compare the different designers, prices and styles
just by maneuvering between websites. I narrowed it down to my
favorite web stores of Vera Bradley, Marc Jacobs, Dooney and
Bourke, Coach and Juicy Couture.
There are bags made from a variety of materials such as
leather, suede, satin
and straw, each with their own different accents in polished
gold and silver or rhinestones and beads. Some of my favorites
were the Metal Check Grovee Bag by Marc Jacobs, which emits a
fun and youthful style, as well as the Celeste fold over by
Coach, which has a more sleek and elegant look to it. Another
wristlet bag I found that really caught my eye was a small
straw clutch from the Hamptons Archive, which is also by Coach.
My head was spinning from all of the possibilities, so I
decided to pick up where I left off at a later time, which is
the beauty of shopping online!
I finally brought my choices down to
the matter of price. Although the Metal Check was my purse of
choice, I knew it just wasn’t within my budget and so I chose a
Dooney and Bourke wristlet wallet for under $55. With a clutch
that can also be used as a wallet, this was the logical choice
for me. However, when I someday make my millions and price is
of no consequence, you can be sure I will have a closet full of
designer handbags with a multitude of wristlets. After all,
money may solve many problems, but I’m sure it wouldn’t cure me
from forgetting my head if it wasn’t attached!
