A handbag is practically always functional and designed with fashion in mind.
Most commomly it is used to hold a number of items such as a wallet, keys, and tissues.
There are many styles of handbags: Purses are traditionally worn as an accessory by ladies, though men sometimes carry one as a smaller alternative to a backpack; such a Purse is sometimes self-consciously referred to as a "murse" or "manbag". It can also be bluntly called a "man-purse".
A medium-to-small-sized bag with a short handle, designed to be carried (clutched) in one's hand is often called a Clutch. A larger Purse with two handles, is often called a Tote.
A Pocketbook is similar to a Purse (in the British English sense), but has a place for the carrying of sheets of paper as well. Purses are also made-up of zari, sterling silver, leather, cloth etc.
A security Purse is especially good to protect types-a person's belongings from travel theft. The purse contains an invisible stainless steal strap within the cloth and a cover to cover the zip.

Hobo: This style of Purse is called a Hobo bag because it resembles the shape of the bindle on a stick that Hobos are portrayed as carrying over their shoulder in drawings and cartoons.
Satchel: Many students use them at universities and colleges. Many people claim it can affect the growth of the wearer, but this hasn't been proven.
